About the Artist

Joan Rudder, MBA
Certified Professional Photographer
She's had a camera in her hand since she was six years old and she's
been preserving memories and moments in time with a passion ever since.
Joan's goal is to create images for her clients that capture more than
what is evident to the eye--she strives to capture their spirit and produce
for them images that portray what's special and unique about them.
Combining her creative eye with her marketing expertise, she is also adept in showing others how to harness
the power of the visual image-- from building self-esteem in
children to using images more effectively in business and in fulfilling
goals and dreams.
She holds an MBA in marketing, and is currently working on her thesis to complete her MA in Public Administration.
Joan has earned the PPA Certified designation from the Professional
Photographers of America. She accomplished this after meeting rigorous
requirements measuring her artistic, technical, ethical, and business
competence. The PPA Certified designation is held by fewer than 2,500
photographers worldwide.
In 1996 she
received an award for Outstanding Community Service from the Riverside
County Board of Supervisors for her work with the Riverside County Maternal,
Child and Adolescent Department-- and for a photographic marketing campaign she developed for them.
The National Association for Female Executives recognized her as their 2006 Woman of Excellence in Community Service for her photography enrichment programs that help build self-esteem and leadership skills in girls and young women.
In 2007, the Girl Scouts San Gorgonio Council recognized her as their Woman of Distinction in Arts and Culture.
Joan is a member of Professional Photographers of America, Professional
Photographers Of California, Inland Empire Professional Photographers
and Videographers (of which she is past president), and National Association
of Photoshop Professionals. She also holds membership in the Hesperia
Chamber of Commerce, Victor Valley African-American Chamber, National
Association of Women Business Owners, National Association of Female
Executives, and past director of the High Desert Connection of the
For You Network.
